Admissions Process

Updated: 05/01/2008

Greater Grace Christian Academy is a church-based private Christian school. Our primary mission is to serve the families of Greater Grace Church in Baltimore. Secondarily we open our doors to the families of our neighboring churches who desire Christian education.

In general, students who wish to apply for admission must have at least a 'B' average, and any standardized tests scores should all range above-average. Students with any type of learning disabilities are considered on a case-by-case basis.

The Admissions process has five-steps:

1. Pre-Interview. In this portion of our admission process, the parent/guardian shall complete a "pre-interview" form. (See below). All questions must be answered as completely as possible. In addition, please submit a copy of the last two (2) years of report cards and results from recent standardized testing. Also include a copy of any transcript and/or psycho-educational testing, when applicable.

  • Notification of Status. Based upon the pre-interview form and the student transcripts, a decision will be made to set-up a formal interview OR a notification will be sent indicating why the admission process is being discontinued.

2. Interview. A formal interview with the school principal and academic director will happen to discuss placement, expectations and to ascertain whether the student is a potential candidate for admission.

  • Notification to Test and Apply. Based upon the initial interview, a notification (verbal and/or written) shall be given that the student has been invited to begin the Application Process. Testing, if required, will be scheduled.

3. Application. The application process requires a school application and additional verification forms. Once all the forms are received, an admissions committee will prayerfully review the application. An additional interview may be requested.

4. Acceptance Notification. When all aspects of the application process have been completed, a notification of acceptance shall be given both verbally and by letter. Until this notification is given, the student shall not be placed on the school roster and may not attend classes.

5. Enrollment. Enrollment forms are available on-line and at registration. Registration is held May 8th and 9th for the 2008-2009 school year, or by appointment. Contact the Registrar for more information.
