Winter School Cancellations Policy
GGCA will follow the snow day cancellation schedule for Baltimore County or Baltimore City Public Schools which ever is longer(NOT Hereford Zone), including late openings. NOT including cancellation of morning Pre-School or Kindergarten. Early Closings of the Pre-school and Kindergarten due to snow and heat will NOT be followed by the school, but will be left to the discretion of safety concerns of parents who may have long distances to drive. School cancellations for Baltimore County & City are routinely announced on TV channels 2, 11, & 13, beginning as early as 6:30 am and up until 7:30 am and on all local radio stations. We will also post any delays and closings on this website at 6:30 am.
Occasionally, GGCA may make its own announcement; otherwise, always follow the guidelines for BALTIMORE COUNTY, and BALTIMORE CITY. If GGCA makes a separate announcement that differs from the City & County, it will be announced on "WBAL"http://www.wbal.com/. These announcements will be weather related concerning hurricane warnings, flooding condition, etc.
