Dear Wonderfully Supportive GGCA Parents,

As you can see, I am hoping that flattery will get me somewhere (but is it really flattery when what you say is true?) The time has come once again where I, as fearless leader of your school, ask you to lay down your lives and participate in the Annual School Fundraiser.

Can I get a big “WOO-HOO!” of unbridled enthusiasm from your lips?

Oh, yeah! I knew you’d be excited because that’s the kind of parents we have here at GGCA – enthusiastic, God-fearing, school-supporting, candy bar-selling, super parents!

That’s right – you did not misread that last sentence – I said candy bar-selling super parents. We are going to try to sell 13,500 World’s Finest candy bars for $1 a piece to help raise the money we need to keep GGCA on sound financial ground. All proceeds from the sale will go to underwrite the costs of school programs like field trips and field days, and the band and sports programs that GGCA students enjoy.

The candy bars will display the name of our school so that customers will know they are helping support a local school and may even give you an opportunity to brag about GGCA. We have a terrific school and we want everyone to know about it as they enjoy a bar of chocolaty goodness!

The sale will begin Friday, September 25th and end Tuesday, October 13th so that students will have three weekends to help them meet their selling goals and earn their prizes. Great features of this fundraiser are that the product is very affordable and there is no need to take or deliver orders. You could take a case of candy bars to work, display them in your workspace, and let them sell themselves to hungry coworkers.

Help support your school!

Daniel Dunbar, Principal (and dark chocolate fiend)
